Benjamin Obadiah Foster, 36 who was previously convicted of keeping a woman captive in Nevada and is now accused of torturing another woman in Oregon is using dating apps to evade the police or find new victims, authorities have warned. Benjamin Obadiah Foster, 36, is currently being hunted by police after a woman was found unconscious, bound, and near death in Grants Pass, Oregon on Tuesday. The woman is currently in critical condition in the hospital.
On Thursday night, police, sheriff's deputies, and federal agents conducted a raid on a property in the unincorporated community of Wolf Creek, where they arrested 68-year-old Tina Marie Jones for hindering prosecution and seized Foster's car. However, Foster managed to evade arrest. It is believed that he is actively using dating apps to contact individuals who may assist in his escape or become potential victims.
Grants Pass Police Chief Warren Hensman has expressed concern that Foster was able to prey on other women while still facing charges for the Nevada crimes. In 2019, before moving to Oregon, Foster held his then-girlfriend captive for two weeks in her Las Vegas apartment. He was initially charged with five felonies, but in 2021, he reached a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to one felony count of battery and one misdemeanor count of battery constituting domestic violence.

A judge sentenced Foster to up to 2 1/2 years in a Nevada prison. However, the 729 days he had already spent in jail awaiting trial were factored into his punishment, leaving him with fewer than 200 days to serve in state custody. Police in Grants Pass have offered a $2,500 reward for information leading to Foster's arrest and have warned that he is believed to be armed and "extremely dangerous."

"The identity of the woman, known as Siemens, has been confirmed by friends on social media platforms such as Facebook and GoFundMe, though the Grants Pass Police Department has yet to release her name to the public. Siemens is currently in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
According to court documents and statements from authorities, 68-year-old Tina Marie Jones was arrested for allegedly assisting Benjamin Obadiah Foster, a man accused of torturing a woman in Oregon and keeping another woman in captivity in Nevada. Jones was charged with two counts of hindering prosecution for following Foster in her vehicle to a remote location in Wolf Creek, giving him a ride after he intentionally drove his car off an embankment and hiding him while police searched for him. During a raid on Jones' residence, Foster's car and evidence of him using dating apps to commit crimes were found.
